This workshop is aimed at dancers with some experiences in contemporary dance technique. This workshop will suit people, who are ready to challenge and explore the physical boundaries through working theme ‘deconstruction of the physical body’. You will develop skills in creative approaches to working with digital technology aspect and its impact on their movement.
This three day workshop will be concentrating on the gestural technique of physical theatre through improvisation to discover new way of expressing the physical movement. During this process we will use digital media tools such as mobiles, ipads, video cameras, which through the looping feedback will influence the physical movement. Participants on this course are invited to bring their own ideas for creating work a short piece, which will be shared and performed on Friday 22nd August at Cafe Ollo The Media Centre, Huddersfield.
(Please bring your mobile phones –any type, but needs to have photo and video plus be able to be transferred onto the pc, ipads) we will have some tools for you to use.
The workshop will be led by Lucie Lee, professional dancer, performer and academic.
